                                                              USE CASE

1) EFFICIENT PLANNING OF URBAN PUBLIC TRANSPORT SYSTEMS

When a city is planning its public transport system, the efficiency of that system lives and dies on the quality of its usage and demand data. To automate on-bus data collection, our versatile RUT955 joined forces with the FMB125 vehicle GPS tracker by Teltonika Telematics for optimal accuracy and connectivity. Relying on the router’s reliable inter-device connectivity and the tracker’s positioning precision, this solution ensures seamless, real-time data flow from the moving bus to the control room server.

2) BOLSTERING THE SAFETY OF ROAD WORKERS

Picture this: you’re driving on the highway and see a bright electric sign telling you to move to a different lane due to road work up ahead. You signal left, move to the next lane, and pass by the workers performing their job some distance later. They seem safe from incoming traffic. Society sure is working as intended. But wait, who put that warning sign there anyway? Did someone walk into the lane to place it? Wouldn’t they be in serious danger of speeding cars heading their way? That doesn’t sound very safe.

3) DATA COLLECTION FOR AIR COMPRESSOR OPTIMIZATION

Air is expensive. Yes, that’s right, compressed air used in industrial machinery is quite costly. The technology that produces it has plateaued and one of the ways to increase production efficiency is to monitor the process closely and then optimize accordingly. That is what Kompresory PEMA is doing. The first step of improving any process is gathering diagnostic data. Optimization can occur only after sensors have collected the data and sent it to be analyzed. And for that, uninterrupted connectivity is a must.

4) SOLAR POWERED REMOTE WI-FI HOTSPOTS

The majority of the world’s population lives in urban areas. To be more precise, in 2010, about 50.5% of the people lived within city limits, which means most of them had access to modern amenities like electricity and internet connection. However, the rest, 49.5%, live in more remote or rural areas, where internet connectivity and electricity are often unavailable as the whole infrastructure away from the city hubs is vastly underdeveloped.

5) INTERACTIVE REMOTELY CONTROLLED PLAYGROUND SYSTEM

The World Health Organization has reported that more than a quarter of the world’s population is insufficiently physically active. In fact, the levels of physical activity have not increased since 2001. These changes are driven by motorized transport, increasing screen time and a sedentary lifestyle. The WHO (World Health Organization) has even prepared an official plan to increase physical activity across communities. So, what can we do to achieve that?
